The Zionist genocide of Palestinians in Gaza has built on the concentration camp breakout of Oct 7, 2023 as if it were Sep 11, 2001 i.e. full spectrum war against “terror.” This alleged terror is mostly ascribed to Hamas whose elected wing governs what’s left of Gaza while its military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, continues to mount spirited resistance against violent occupation. As do other Palestinian resistance movements with similar and dissimilar ideologies. Here in Maine we’ll be treated to not one but two hasbara events to remind us of the horrific suffering of Zionists who were partying outside the camp gates on Oct 7. As well as the suffering of some combatants. (There’s a fair amount of crossover between those two groups.) On September 15 at 7:30pm the Holocaust and “Human Rights” Center of Maine in Augusta will host a lecture by the author of 10/7: 100 Human Stories: Thanks for reading Lisa’s Substack! Don’t expect any stories of Palestinians though — Zionists don’t consider them human. Then, on Sep 18 at Pickard Theatre on the Bowdoin College’s campus in Brunswick, Zionists plan to offer this version of Oct 7 narrative control: According to the organizers:
Per a comment on the Facebook story post: Ironic, that shattered Star of David — many of us understand that the ultimate demise of the Zionist entity will be a consequence of its brutal genocide including imposing starvation, carpet bombing, and targeting children, health care workers, and journalists. There’s also evidence that the current regime in Israel allowed the Oct 7 breakout to go forward despite lots of advance warning. And certainly has lied copiously about it since. Hmm… So what really did happen on Oct 7? And is it in any way related to the developing genocide via pogroms and land theft in the occupied West Bank? Not really, unless you count the fact that both places are epicenters of Palestinian suffering that began with the Nakba in 1948. Tonight in Brunswick we’ll hear from retired USM professors Melody Shank and Ken Jones about their recent trip to be observers in Hebron. Settler violence, Israeli soldier violence, home demolitions, humiliation at checkpoints, and more will be described as they were documented. Shank and Jones agreed with trip sponsor Community Peacemaker Teams that they would observe only, not participate. At least one person I know declined to accompany them saying it would be impossible for him to witness the cruelty without attempting to intervene. It wasn’t Shank and Jones’ first trip to Palestine but it may have been the most traumatic as Israeli violence there has escalated steadily since Oct 7. A recent interview by Jones of journalist Jasper Nathaniel uncovered additional examples of the sadistic policies of Israel in the lands it has occupied since 1967. Now that we are hearing much about Zionist plans for “Greater Israel” and seeing airstrikes on Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen it seems clear that Israel has no intention of giving back the land promised to Palestinians in the Oslo accords. Many feel the Palestine Liberation Army should never have stood down in exchange for such a bad deal. This is informing the current refusal of Hezbollah to disarm in response to U.S./Lebanese demands. https://x.com/SuppressedNws/status/1965208069106696452 Just yesterday Israel drone bombed a ship in port in Tunisia, the Family vessel participating in the Sumud flotilla to bring aid to Gaza. So apparently the whole Mediterranean region is subject to Zionis control? Certainly they have been using Cyprus as a staging ground for military operations against Gaza, and also as a receiving ground for Israelis fleeing their broken society. Dock workers have some thoughts about that. Workers in the ports of Greece, Italy, and Spain have vowed to shut down shipping to Israel if the Sumud flotilla is attacked (as all previous flotillas have been attacked with participants assaulted and sometimes murdered). Let’s hope workers are able to make good on that nonviolent threat of retaliation. Ansarallah in Yemen has long since shut down Red Sea shipping to Israel, and extending the blockadeto the Mediterranean would be of enormous significance for Israel’s economic precarity.
